Larynx Inflammation (Laryngitis)

What is laryngitis?
Laryngitis is an inflammatory condition of the vocal cords caused by upper respiratory tract infections, reflux, heavy smoking, alcohol use, and excessive or improper use of the voice.
Laryngitis also leads to symptoms such as hoarseness, sore throat, and a sensation of something stuck in the throat.
Laryngitis Treatment
For treating laryngitis, it is important to rest the voice and consume plenty of fluids, while eliminating irritants (such as smoking, alcohol, and acid). Antibiotic treatment is required if the inflammation is caused by bacteria.
